We chose this restaurant for our Easter dinner and were looking forward to a special evening. Unfortunately, we were seated in a makeshift table at the very back of the restaurant against the wall of the kitchen. The most delicious dish we ordered was the artichoke appetizer, which we almost didn’t get because they forgot it. I’m glad we did though! It was delicious. We were only half way through eating it and out come our main courses. I don’t know if the chef was angry about working on Easter because these dishes were severely underseasoned. My truffle risotto, which I was very much looking forward to, was extremely bland. The mushroom tagliatelle was also not seasoned properly. (We generally don’t eat a lot of salt so for us to need to add seasoning is really saying something.) However, even with added salt and Parmesan cheese, the dishes were boring and bland. The best main dish was the bolognese, which was good not great. The service was very friendly but it could not overcome our disappointment.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The food was amazing and great portion sizes. The only downside was we had rung to slightly amend our booking time as we were going to be late and this meant we had a nearly half hour wait upon arrival with kids and the street wasn't the easiest place to wait.
